This unforgettable portrait of two unlikely friends on the seedier side of 1960s Manhattan was among the first films to feature costumes by two-time Oscar winner Ann Roth. Her designs for the pitiable Ratso Rizzo (Dustin Hoffman) and the wannabe-gigolo Joe Buck (Jon Voight) helped the stars create two of the most memorable screen characters of the era.
