Get ready to walk down the aisle with a collection of hilarious, heartwarming and sometimes heartbreaking films that explore the complexities of love and commitment in HOLY MATRIMONY! Brides on the Big Screen. Playing at The Paris May 3-9 in honor of Mother of the Bride, starring Brooke Shields and Benjamin Bratt, on Netflix May 9.

From Father of the Bride, with Steve Martin in the classic tale of a reluctant father giving away his daughter, to Julia Roberts going to hilarious lengths to stop the ceremony in My Best Friend’s Wedding (35mm), the series follows our favorite actors reminding us we’re not always at our best on our biggest day.

Ang Lee had his career breakthrough with 1993’s The Wedding Banquet (35mm), while Jonathan Demme and Jenny Lumet collaborated on Rachel Getting Married (35mm), which garnered Anne Hathaway her first Oscar nomination.

Other highlights include the film that made Hugh Grant a star, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and the beloved destination wedding musical, Mamma Mia!, straight from Broadway. And finally, we welcome Preston Sturges back to the Paris with The Palm Beach Story, featuring a wedding… or two… as well as an unforgettably silly & sweet serenade sung to Claudette Colbert and Joel McCrea by the bloodhounds of the Ale & Quail Club.

Fall in love with the movies all over again this week at the Paris.
