Disorganized Crime: BIG MISTAKES and Dan Levy's Cinematic Accomplices

Big Mistakes | New Series on Netflix April 9

DETAILS

Emmy Award winner Dan Levy’s new series Big Mistakes follows Nicky (Levy) and Morgan (Taylor Ortega), two deeply incapable siblings who are in over their heads when a misguided theft for their dying grandmother accidentally pulls them into the world of organized crime. Blackmailed into increasingly dangerous assignments, they clumsily fail upwards, sinking deeper into chaos they’re ill-equipped to handle.

To celebrate the release of this new genre-bending series (available on Netflix April 9) that’s set against the backdrop of a suspenseful, high-stakes crime thriller while remaining laugh-out-loud funny, the Paris Theater is proud to present Disorganized Crime: Big Mistakes and Dan Levy’s Cinematic Accomplices, a film program curated by Big Mistakes co-creator, showrunner and star Dan Levy that highlights the cinematic inspirations behind the show’s unique blend of the crime and comedy.

Disorganized Crime will also include a special presentation of episodes 1 and 2 of Big Mistakes, featuring an in-person introduction by Dan Levy on Thursday, April 9.

Disorganized Crime showcases nine films that exemplify the undeniable pull of a good crime story, whether it's populated with menacing gangsters who infuse the film with a thrilling unpredictability (Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, David Cronenberg’s Eastern Promises), or more hapless, low-level operators hilariously out of their depth (think of Steve Buscemi and William H. Macy’s massively bungled schemes in the Coen Brothers’ Fargo). In crafting the dangerous assignments his characters are forced to perform in Big Mistakes, Levy also finds inspiration in spy capers (the legendary Melissa McCarthy comedy Spy) and crackling murder mysteries with a comic edge (ClueGosford Park).

Big Mistakes launches on Netflix April 9, 2026. Watch the trailer here.
