
Academy Museum Branch Selects

Branch Selects, the screening series presented by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and programmed in collaboration with members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 19 branches, will return to the Paris Theater on March 25.
Now in its third year at the Paris Theater, Branch Selects offers audiences a one-of-a-kind journey through film history, with each Academy branch selecting a film that represents a major achievement in the evolution of moviemaking and its unique disciplines.
Highlights include the opening night screening of Buster Keaton’s final masterpiece, the silent romantic comedy The Cameraman in 4K, a May the 4th screening of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope in 4K, D. A. Pennebaker’s Dont Look Back presented on Bob Dylan’s birthday, 35mm screenings of Bullitt, Eraserhead and Do the Right Thing, and 4K restorations of Planet of the Apes (1968), Taxi Driver and Anatomy of a Murder. Special guest appearances will also be announced.
